THESIS STATEMENT

Due to the migration issue, the city area of Kuala Dungun has significantly fewer people visit even on the weekend, especially the " Chinatown" of Kuala Dungun. Chinatown used to be a bustling town since the 1970s. Kuala Dungun government-managed Chinese to stay in this area for better business operation and communication.

Nowadays, all the youngster moving out of the town. Since then a lot of shophouses have been abandon due to no new teenager to heir from the old generation.  Then, Chinatown now as a dying town. There are only a few shops still operating while other was abandon or becoming store for the businessman outside the city.

Based on the data collected from 25 students, almost all of the respondents will leave Kuala Dungun to Kuala Lumpur after SPM for better experiences and job opportunity.  Besides, it shows that over 91% of respondents will recommend their friends from outside. Like the foods, culture and lifestyle in Kuala Dungun will not be able to find in a big city.

Hence, there is a need to provide a place with the job opportunity to attract more teenager to stay in Kuala Dungun. The proposed building not only serves the commercial purpose but also cultural. Then, to suggest a Chinese Community Centra at the dying Chinatown of Kuala Dungun, to introduce the Malaysia Chinese Tradition, create job opportunity for local, and to boost the tourism of Kuala Dungun.
